I woke up this morning
The rain was still falling
I opened my eyes to a dull pale light
The sound of the season was rhythmic and pleasing
My dream slowly fading as I came to life
I was dreaming about dying
I was old and I was lying on a hospital bed
Being wheeled down a hall
A nurse walked beside me
She was pretty and smiling
And singing a song that I've not heard before

I'm going back to the start
Beginning to the end just a heart beat apart
My answers and my questions
My successes and mistakes
Left here to fade out as I'm reborn and replayed
